Hannah Renton is a UK filmmaker working in both fiction and documentary forms, and an interest in the intersection of the two. Her debut short film KIM screened at BAFTA and Academy Award-qualifying festivals, including Underwire Festival in London and Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia in Japan and has been acquired by Tall Tales. She is a member of BAFTA Crew 2018 and participated as a Director in the 2017 BFI Network X BAFTA Crew scheme. Her second short as writer/director Rise is in pre-production and Boy Meets Boy, a feature project she co-wrote, is in development with Berlin-based Cosmic Productions.

Hannah also works as a freelance assistant producer and editor and has previously worked on films for the ICA, C4 and Banyak Films. She is currently assistant producer on feature documentary Under The Knife and editor on BFI/BBC funded short doc Ill, Actually. She has a degree in Philosophy and Psychology and studied Filmmaking at the European Film College in Denmark.
